In speaking to the hypocritical, judgmental, and murderous Pharisees who ultimately would crucify Him, Jesus said in JN. 8:44, “You are of your father, the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.”
And 2 Cor. 11:14 says that “...Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.”
Be careful for as the saying goes, “All that glitters is not gold”. Not everything is as it appears.
Satan is also known as the deceiver. That is his game. He loves to fool, trick, deceive… In other words… to lie. He perverts (alters) truth, so that his lies have just enough truth to be attractive and to seem reasonable. But he is never to be believed. His lie proceeds and sets up his true intentions which are to steal, to kill, and to destroy.
