Again in great contrast Jesus pits Himself against Satan in Scripture. 1 Pet. 5:6-8 “(6) Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, (7) Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. (8) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”
Like a roaring lion, he boasts with aloud roar trying to fill his prey with fear. Lions are basically lazy and walk on the outer fridges of the packs of their prey. They are looking for an easy meal. They watch for the young, the weak, the injured, or the lost/disoriented/distracted members.
Those who are strong, fit, and focused are too much work. We get our strength, health, and determination from a close and humble walk with God. When we pull away from God, we are like the young, weak, injured, lost, disoriented, or distracted members of the pack.
If Satan has his way, he will most definitely kill you physically and/or emotionally and/or spiritually and/or financially and/or relationally.
