Support - What to Expect from Family and Friends

Support is the first thing you hope to receive. But honestly and typically you will find your support primarily within your newfound family of fellow believers in Christ.

This decision to yield to and to honor and to love and to follow Jesus is squarely between you and your Maker. The only person you need the approval of is Jesus Himself. When you stand in judgment with eternity in the balance, where are your friends and family then? When God the Father asks you, ‘What did you do with My Son?’, it is on you and you alone to declare if you accepted Him or rejected Him.

Do not seek or desire the approval or endorsement of your existing friends or family. If they happen to already be believers in Jesus, then your decision will be well received. However, if they do not know Jesus (as you previously did not), then they will not understand or be excited for your new decision.
