Spectatorship - What to Expect from Family and Friends

If nothing else, you can rest assured that your family and friends will be watching you very closely. They are expecting you to fail and to fall. They are assuming this is just a phase you are going through. They are waiting for the storm to pass and for the dust to settle and for everything to get back to ‘normal’.

Normal is greatly overrated. It’s time for a new normal. You had your reasons for reaching out to God and for opening your heart and mind to Him. Don’t ever forget what those reasons were. And don’t think that you are the only one with those struggles, issues, or needs.

Your friends and family are watching you so closely because secretly they are waiting to see if you are the real deal. As they see your life fill with genuine joy, peace, happiness, wisdom, love, hope, power, and more, they will eventually be hoping and praying that maybe you will tell them how they can have those things for their lives as well.

Stay the course… They are watching.
