Give
Power:
(Eph. 1:13) “In whom you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that you believed, you were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise.”
In other words, once you heard the gospel message and trusted in that word and gave your heart to Jesus- at that moment, the Holy Spirit of God sealed your salvation. It will not be taken from you. And the Holy Spirit now lives within you.
(1 Cor. 6:19) “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not of your own.”
(Rom. 8:11) “But if the spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”
God’s enemy Satan honestly thought that he would stop and crush God’s influence in the world by killing Jesus. This was his one big chance to have it all and to be victorious over God. You have to understand that every demonic presence, power, and personality was completely focused on holding down and keeping down Jesus. And yet the Holy Spirit of God raised Him from the dead.
This was an amazing show of power and demonstration of authority over Satan, darkness, and death. Satan was forever put to shame because of that power.
Now understand that this very same Holy Spirit now lives within you.
(Phil. 4:13) “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
(1 Jn. 4:4) “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”
When you understand that you are now a child of God and that His very spirit is in you, then there is literally nothing you cannot accomplish for God.
That is what we call power!
