African Child's Day

The day aims at raising awareness for the situation of children in Africa, and on the need for continuing improvement in education. It encourages people's spirit of abundance to share something special with a child in Africa.

The Day of the African Child has been celebrated on June 16 every year since 1991, when it was first initiated by the OAU Organization of African Unity. It honors those who participated in the Soweto Uprising in 1976 on that day. It also raises awareness of the continuing need for improvement of the education provided to African children.

We are always looking for sponsors and donations to help support those in need and to help further the education in order to improve the village and the quality of life for the future of our children.
